Im Nachwuchswettbewerb um den BILD-KUNST Förderpreis für experimentellen Film wurde die in Köln studierende Jana Debus für GREGOR ALEXIS, „ein behutsames persönliches Portrait zwischen

Distanz und Melancholie“ ihres an Schizophrenie erkrankten Bruders mit dem ersten Preis in Höhe von 12.500 Euro ausgezeichnet. Die weiteren dotierten Preise gingen an Marc Thümmler für RADFAHRER und an den in Berlin lebenden Mirko Martin für NOIR.

Die KunstFilmBiennale ist eine Initiative der SK Stiftung Kultur, der Kunststiftung NRW und der Stadt Köln. Sie wird veranstaltet in Kooperation mit der Filmstiftung NRW sowie der VG Bild-Kunst und gefördert vom Ministerpräsidenten des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen.

In the competition for young film artists vying for the BILD-KUNST Award for Experimental Film, Jana Debus, a student in Cologne, received the first prize of 12,500 euros for GREGOR ALEXIS, “a sensitive personal portrait combining objectivity and melancholy” of her schizophrenic brother. The other money prizes went to Marc Thümmler for RADFAHRER and Mirko Martin for NOIR.

KunstFilmBiennale is an initiative of the SK Stiftung Kultur, the Arts Foundation of North Rhine-Westphalia and the City of Cologne. It takes place in cooperation with the Filmstiftung NRW and VG Bild-Kunst and is supported with funds of the Prime Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia. The festival is organised by KOMED im Mediapark GmbH.
